Can I share anything I want on TxtVanish?

No. Illegal content, malware, phishing, spam and harassment are not allowed. See section 3 for the full list.

What happens to messages that break the rules?

They can be removed and their links disabled, including when someone reports them.

Can I use TxtVanish to store important files?

Not as your only copy. Files are deleted after 7 days and the service comes with no guarantee of availability, so keep your own copy of anything you need.

1. Acceptance of terms

By accessing or using txtvanish.com (“the Service”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Service.

2. Description of service

TxtVanish lets you store text, code, editable notes and file attachments and share them by link, QR code or short code, with expiry based on time or number of views. Attachments are deleted 7 days after upload.

3. User conduct

You agree not to use the Service to:

Store or share content that is illegal, harmful, threatening, abusive, harassing, defamatory, or otherwise objectionable.
Distribute malware, viruses, phishing pages or any other malicious content.
Send spam or bulk unsolicited messages.
Violate any applicable laws or regulations.
Infringe upon the rights of others, including intellectual property and privacy rights.
Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service or its related systems.
Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Service, including by automated bulk use.

4. Content responsibility

You are solely responsible for the content you store and share using the Service. We do not claim ownership of your content, but you grant us the right to store, display, and transmit your content as necessary to provide the Service. We may remove content or disable links that violate these Terms or the law, including in response to reports.

5. Attachments

Files can be up to 10 MB. Programs, scripts and web pages cannot be attached. Files are always downloaded, never opened in the browser, and are deleted 7 days after upload. Keep your own copy of anything you need.

6. Privacy

Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.

7. Service availability

We strive to provide a reliable service, but we do not guarantee that the Service will be available at all times or that it will be error-free. We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the Service at any time without notice. Do not use TxtVanish as the only copy of anything important.

8. Disclaimer of warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING, BUT NOT LIMITED TO, IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT.

9. Limitation of liability

IN NO EVENT SHALL TXTVANISH BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION, LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, USE, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES, RESULTING FROM YOUR ACCESS TO OR USE OF OR INABILITY TO ACCESS OR USE THE SERVICE.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless TxtVanish and its affiliates, officers, agents, and employees from any claim or demand, including reasonable attorneys' fees, made by any third party due to or arising out of your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any rights of another.

11. Changes to terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will provide notice of significant changes by posting the new Terms on the Service. Your continued use of the Service after such changes constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms.
